Local roadworks and POR pool maintenance details

Unread postby Sassagoula Sentinel » February 14th, 2012, 8:00 am

Construction work to repave Bonnet Creek Parkway (which is the main road running outside both of the Port Orleans resorts) is scheduled from now until 23 March. Work will take place overnight (7pm-7am) excluding Friday and Saturday nights. There may be some local traffic delays.

Swimming Pool Maintenance Updates at Riverside: The quiet pool between Oak Manor and Parterre Place (buildings 90 and 95 at Port Orleans Riverside) will be closed for refurbishment work from 27 February to 1 March. The South quiet pool in Alligator Bayou (near to building 16) will be closed for refurbishment from 12 to 15 March. The North quiet pool in Alligator Bayou (near to building 35) will be closed for refurbishment from 19 to 22 March. All other pools at Riverside, including the Ol' Man Island feature pool will remain open.

Refurbishment work in the main lobby at Port Orleans Riverside will apparently be taking place from 9 April to 25 May. More details as I get them, but I do know that at some point the paintwork in the checkin area is due to be updated and brand new carpet will be fitted.

Owning a swimming pool is one thing but maintaining it is a totally different ball game.Important to keep the water clean and safe for all swimmers. You must test your chemical levels regularly, flush your filter, clean out the skimmer basket and vacuum.
